Hey again guys 🙂 I’ve got a comic in the works, and if all goes well, it’ll come out in next month’s Uno Magazine 🙂 Naturally, I can’t share it here ’til it sees print, (IF it sees print), but I figured a little teaser couldn’t hurt. I suppose this is a cop-out post isn’t it? ‘Especially since I haven’t got any new comics to post just yet.I guess this is just my passive way of showing folks that contrary to certain grown-ups’ opinions, I certainly HAVE NOT been sitting on my ass all day, damnit!

Well. Ok, I DO literally sit on my ass all day, but only because I’m wide awake droaring, droaring, droaring.

Guess what! Free Comic Book Day was last May 1 and as of 44 minutes ago, it is now May 15!  WHOA!

Well diddle me britches, so what if I’m late? *ahem* Extremely late?

The truth is that I thought the whole of MAY was “international comics month” or something… (Now wouldn’t that be nice?) I thought I had the entire 30 days to dish my comic out. Boo was I wrong. Oh well, better late than never right? It’s the thought that counts.

Either way, right now I’m currently trying to lay it all out, (a process that proving to take much longer than I expected. Screw you InDesign! I’ll show YOU cutcopypaste! *shakes fist* ) Hopefully I’ll have freshly printed copies out by tomorrow. Huzzah!

The thing is, I’m only printing about say… 20 total. The last thing I want to do is overprint, end up with a stack and an empty wallet. So just in case I don’t bump into you in the next 3 days or so, give me a buzz over text or comment below if you want free comics! From me!

Lastly, did I mention that our scanner’s acting up? (ohnoes!) While I ponder this situation, I figured I should share a doodle that never made it to CerealSat:

I suffered from a terrible case of “I don’t care, fuck you” yesterday and I think it shows in this comic…

This was the quickest, most rash comic I’ve ever done- but a head full of worries and shitty thoughts can do that to you.

Today was alright, all things considered. I swung over to Meng’s and I (sorta) helped her bake cookies while doing my best not to bake under the sun myself. It was some time in between the oven and the chocolate chips that Meng’s little nephew, Gabe kind of went bonkers:

I think the heat broke him. We have yet to see if the poor bugger’ll be all right. He was in the foulest of moods.

Aaand, here’s another little one I drew at Coffee Bean and Tea, while Meng and I were killing time before watching “Date Night”. (It was HILARIOUS by the by. Tina Fey is such a dish~)

Speaking of this summer getting everyone down:

You might have noticed that both these comics have a rougher feel to them. That’s what happens when you ink on oslo paper instead of bristol board. I cleaned it up as best as I could, but ah well. I suppose they’ll do.

We all have our own ways of dealing with this ridiculous heat. Some of us take it graciously, while others (including myself).. not so much.

Last Friday, I took a trip to the LTO to finally, finally renew my license…

As I was saying… we all have different ways of dealing with the heat.

Side note to purists: Yes, yes I KNOW that Johnny Blaze only becomes Ghost Rider by night. I’m just playing around. : )
